Another Phoenix Police Officer was killed again today in the Valley of The Sun.
from the sound of the news it seems like most are concerned about if the killer has a "Mexican" name. (I think they mean Spanish. However those in the know will tell you there is just a thing as the Mexican Language, and there are Mexican Names. My own grandmother has one.
In Baja California, Mexico, the Pai people, (one of four ingenious tribes that has kept it's prehispanic culture, and who are related to the Havapai of Arizona), has a chief named Margarito Castro. A very traditional Mexican name.
But I am wondering who this Officer was. I know police, and I am not part of the Booster Club. These sworn officers have a license to kill, and use it quite liberally. so, I maintain that they must be held to a higher standard. I certainly don't give them an automatic pass.
I wonder if this was the same Police Officer who pushed me to the ground, causing me to hit my head on a ... (more)

    So, when you wake up in the morning, you want to go down to the Placita Olivera. The Catholic people have an old cathedral there called La Riena De Los Angeles. at noon, a line forms and a few old, Mexican women come out and hand you even older ( If that could be possible.) tuna fish sandwhiches. The bring these choice morsels up from a dark basement, stacked tightly in a card board box.It doesn't appear they are ever refrigerated.To be fair, noone yet has become sick or died from it.

Lazily you will drag your happy rear end up off the ground, and look out toward Mount Pacifico, across the Los Angeles River, and far above Big and Little Tajunga Canyon.When I was a kid, the Niki Anti-Missle defence System was deployed in those mountain tops.
